Frisco Elopement: Early Summer by the Lake

Early summer in Frisco, you never know quite what to expect with the weather! Sometimes its warm and everything is green, and sometimes snow and rain linger. Thankfully, this year brought an early start to summer and spring. Everything was green, mud season was over, and the lakes were melted! It was the perfect setting for Macey and Trevor’s Frisco elopement.

The couple and their family had driven all the way out to Colorado to celebrate the start of this new chapter. Macey and Trevor got ready separately in their mountain cabin. Getting ready photos are often overlooked or thought of as not important, but there is so much emotion in them. The anticipation, the moments of realizing you’re actually in the wedding attire for real, the looks on family members faces when they see you, its all so important!

The ceremony

Once everyone was ready, Macey and Trevor took a few minutes to do a first look. First looks are an amazing demarcation point. You get a moment to soak in time together and go wow this is really happening. After the first look and time alone, everyone piled into cars for the ceremony by the lake. When Macey and Trevor were planning their Frisco elopement, it was important to them to have an accessible ceremony site for their family members. We didn’t have to go too far from the parking lot before we had beautiful views of the mountains and lake. Trevor’s mom officiated and there were many happy tears and hugs afterwards.

The adventure

The couple opted to incorporate a little bit more adventure into the part of their Friso elopement that was just the two of them. We headed deeper into the mountains and hiked to an alpine lake with some surprise guests- a marmot and some mountain goats! The golden hour light was incredible as we adventured around and Macey and Trevor shared private vows. An incredible conclusion to their Frisco elopement!
