There is no one "right way" to elope in Colorado. Adventure as much as you want or relax as much as you want. Elopements offer a lot of freedom- go almost anywhere, do almost anything, and that many options can often start to feel overwhelming. I love being able to help take couples from feeling overwhelmed to confidently crafting the day they've been dreaming of- from narrowing down location options to drawing up the perfect day of timeline. Together we'll create a day that makes you stop and think "everyone should get married like this".

I love Colorado, I love our mountains, and I especially love getting to share and experience them with couples on their wedding days. I've lived in Colorado for almost 10 years and I love exploring the mountains- especially the San Juan Mountains (Ouray, Telluride, and Silverton specifically). Hiking and car camping are two of my main hobbies, but when I’m home, I love to research. Colorado just has so much to offer- I spend a ton of time on Google Maps and AllTrails doing adventure research, creating lists, and keeping meticulous track of what I find. I want to be that person that knows the mountains. I love being able to recommend the cutest mountain towns and coffee shops and breweries, and I’m always the person that friends text saying “here’s what I’m looking for, what hike should I do?” or "where should I go if I want to see wildflowers?".
Ouray (and the San Juans in general) is one of my favorite parts of the state because there's a little bit of everything- incredible mountain passes, alpine lakes, off roading and hiking trails, rivers, wildflowers, and fall colors.

I will be a trusted friend, encouraging you when necessary, helping when needed, and fading into the background when appropriate. I'll gently keep our timeline on track, be there to help carry trains, pin hair, put in veils, pin on boutonnieres, and straighten collars. Your full gallery will reflect your whole adventure from the big moments to the fleeting in-between.
You don't need to worry about how long things take or the best order to do them in. Whether you're people that love structure or prefer a more go with the flow approach, I'll take all your ideas and put them in a day of timeline that flows seamlessly and allows you two to not feel rushed. Its so important that you get to really experience every moment!

Where to elope in Ouray
The San Juans are known for their alpine lakes, rugged peaks, and plentiful off roading trails. These areas range in elevation from 7700ft to over 12000ft, so there are vastly different types of weather experiences depending on the time of year.
Ouray and the San Juan Mountains are one of the best summer through fall locations for eloping. Summer, which is typically late June-August, means wildflowers, lots of green, and sparkling alpine lakes. It takes a while for snow to melt at higher elevations, which means months like April- early June can have a lot of mud and leftover snow, but lower elevations can have spring like conditions with trees just starting to get leaves and frozen lakes melting.
This area also has incredible fall colors which tend to show up late September- early October. The aspen trees turn the mountain sides into yellow and orange patchworks that are just as are incredible from afar as when you walk through them.

The San Juan mountains have a plethora of incredible elopement locations. From lakes the color of bright blue Gatorade, sweeping views, and alpine meadows to waterfalls and mountain peaks, there is truly something for everyone. There's tons of hiking options, but if that's not really your thing, these mountains offer tons of off roading trails which means you can hit multiple epic views without all the sweat of hiking (but maybe hire a driver so you can enjoy the views)!
One of the less intimidating off roading options, Yankee Boy offers huge views, wildflowers, waterfalls, and aspen groves. It's super close to Ouray and there's so much adventure to be had in this area.
An iconic part of the San Juans is Million Dollar Highway. This scenic drive is 25 miles long and has incredible views. There are tons of pull offs, lakes, and mountain passes to stop at and explore along the way.
