Gold Camp Road- Noah & Rosie

When Noah reached out to me to do anniversary session one of the first things he said was that they wanted a unique location and that he and Rosie loved fun. They wanted mountains, but also loved the quirkiness of downtown Manitou. Well, when you can’t choose between two….do both! And that’s exactly what they did.

Noah had recently gotten out of the army after 9 years and now that they had a permanent home, they wanted photos to hang on the wall. Their 6 year anniversary seemed like the perfect time to have pictures done! I was looking forward to their session before I even met them because they had so much personality in their answers to the questionnaire I send every couple. I could just tell they were going to be a super fun couple.

They met while both serving in the army and enjoy working out on weekends followed by watching scary movies and “eating too much ice cream that they should regret, but never do”. The day of their session there was actually a huge storm and we were all worried about the weather. Thankfully, the rain stopped and the clouds even broke at the end to let some of that coveted golden hour light through. We got to explore Manitou Springs and find some really cool, unique spots. And of course we had to stop by the Penny Arcade! I love the vintage feel of the Penny Arcade; Noah’s outfit definitely fit in perfectly.

After an hour of town we headed for the mountains. There’s just something about dressy clothes in the mountains…the contrast of the rough and delicate. Its magical. When the sun slid out from behind the clouds, we all got excited and golden hour dreaminess commenced.
