Breckenridge engagement session- Kellyn & Tylor

Summer is my favorite season in the mountains. The wildflowers are blooming, its not too hot or too cold, and you can get places that just aren’t accessible in the winter. One thing with mountains in the summer…the afternoon storms. It rains fairly frequently in the afternoon in the summer, usually not for very long, but can be intense and if there’s thunder or lightning its definitely not safe to be at high elevations.

When I met up with Kellyn & Tylor for their engagement session it was pouring. Like could hardly see out the windshield pouring. We were debating what to do and if we should go to another location when, amazingly, the rain stopped. Colorado weather. You really never know what to expect. The best part- the rain had cleared out all the other people so we pretty much had the area to ourselves!

These two had picked an absolutely amazing spot from their location guide. Tall mountain peaks and wildflower meadows surrounded us, all without even having to hike. We had the best time exclaiming over the sun peeking through the clouds, admiring the wildflowers, and talking about how great Colorado is. At one point it rained a little bit while the sun was shining and it made it look like crystals were falling from the sky; unreal.

Kellyn and Tylor were here visiting to check out places for their elopement in 2022 and decided to have engagement photos done during their trip! These two have a ton of stuff going on in their lives, including work and school so it meant a lot that they made time to hang out with me on their short trip. And it was so much fun to get to meet them in person before their wedding day.
