Winnekenni Halloween Styled Shoot

October 29, 2020

Fall in New England is like no other. One of the only things I miss about the east coast is all the colors in the fall. Colorado in the fall is beautiful too of course, but its mostly just yellow leaves and lacks the myriad of red and oranges found back east. Aspen leaves are also so small, which is a weird thing to notice, but wow I never realized how huge oak leaves are!

When planning my trip to Massachusetts to visit one of my best friends, we talked about wanting to do photos with a carved pumpkin and colored smoke. What started out as a simple idea quickly turned into a full on witchy styled shoot. We found amazing vintage gowns and went traipsing through a park at sunset. We got some weird looks, but most people loved it! The smoke was a little difficult to work with, sometimes lighting sometimes not, but it really made a huge difference and the photos turned out better than I could have imagined.

It was so much to get to be in some of the photos too. I’ve never done a more “creative” shoot like this one and it was so much fun to get to play with different poses and editing.
