You can still have a whole wedding day and keep your wedding small. There is not a right or wrong way to have an intimate wedding! Marie and John are one of the many couples that had to change their plans because of the state of the world, but that didn’t stop them from having a beautiful and incredibly special wedding day.

They were joined by mostly family at an Airbnb in Evergreen on an amazing clear fall day. There had been so much smoke from all the fires earlier in the week, but thankfully it cleared and the mountains were visible. Marie and John got ready separately while they’re family set up for the ceremony and celebration afterwards. The balcony overlooking the mountains was such a romantic spot for the couple to say “I do” and was made even more incredible by the beautifully decorated arch.

Marie and John are such a fun couple, they were truly themselves the entire day and weren’t afraid to laugh or be silly. Marie even said that one of the things she loves most about John is his sense of humor.  John said what he loves most about Marie is that she is sweet, and kind, and has a good heart. Both of these showed during their vows and their time doing photos. They were so much fun!

The proposal story as told by Marie: “We went camping, and in the morning I was trying to get some video of the aspen trees so we went down a big hill to get the right shot. I took some video then turned around and he was on one knee. I was not expecting it at all!”

There were so many fun personal touches to Marie and John’s day. From Marie’s childhood doll, Emily, making a surprise appearance as a guest, to the handcrafted Startrek pins Marie’s brother gifted the couple, it was truly a day unique to them and their love.
