Madison and Alex are incredible. They’ve been through so much together, from long distance, to deployments, to planning their wedding in the midst of COVID.

Madison is currently going to school in Pennsylvania while Alex is stationed here in Colorado. Being apart doesn’t stop them though. Even just seeing them for their engagement session, it was clear what true partners they are. Thankfully, even with everything going on in the world, Madison was able to come out here for a visit and found time to squeeze  their engagement session in!

Alex and Madison had never had photos done before, and while they didn’t have any specific pose requests, they both told me they weren’t very photogenic. HA! These two were total naturals and were insanely photogenic. They twirled, and smiled, and dipped like it was thier job (I always joke that photoshoots are secret workouts) which made for some totally amazing and candid moments.

All week it was perfect and sunny, but on the day of their session, Colorado decided we needed clouds. It didn’t put a damper on the magic, the water and the mountains made an incredible background. A few days later, the weather actually cooperated and we were able to finish the rest of their session and get some sunset pictures at Garden of the Gods.
